Thank you for visiting! We love Vermont and all that it has to offer. After spending 25 years raising a family and growing multiple businesses, we learned to be strategic in our financial decisions while planning for the future. Providing for our family in a frugal, thrifty way lead to the creation and growth of Rutland Discount Food. We quickly became immersed in our passion to provide our community groceries and more for less.
In 2007, we purchased Rutland Discount Food, which was originally a small discount food store. Rutland Discount Food grew organically over time. We began to add additional products such as, furniture, housewares, health and beauty products, clothing, pet food, gluten free and organic options. We purchase overstock products from the largest box stores in the nation and offer our customers 50%-70% off suggested retail prices.
Our community’s high demand for affordable food and merchandise eventually encouraged us to purchase two additional stores in Vermont, Champlain Discount Food in Vergennes, and Williston Liquidation Center in Williston. Each store is unique and carries different products on any given day, but always at great prices!
Our goal is to make a positive difference in each community we serve, and offer our customers savings on groceries and more. This is a family operated business, and our staff will go above and beyond to make your shopping experience enjoyable.
